They have two hiking trails we love doing them in the spring/fall when the weather is nicer. The playground today looked to be getting demolished ! Hopefully they'll rebuild it
I've never done the tour but there are tours that take you into the actual lodge which you can reserve. Definitely plan and call ahead, they won't do walk-ins. I believe there may be a cost involved with it but I don't know what it is.
This was a pleasant surprise to visit. We drove by it and decided to turn around and check it out. The staff are very friendly. To tour guide is kind and extremely knowledgeable about everything on the tour. I would recommend checking it out! Just keep in mind there is alot of stairs on this tour.
Definitely a must see if you're in Missouri. Beautiful scenery. Trials to hike. Tour the house very neat to see inside. Tour guides were great we got so much information in such a short time. Call to buy your tickets ahead of time so you don't have to wait. Adults are $4 bucks, kids are $3, 5 and under are free, Tour took us an hour.
Very interesting building with a unique history surrounded by fantastic scenery. The tour guides were very friendly and have an inhuman amount of knowledge about the lodge's history and can answer just about any question thrown at them. …
Beautiful place! Loved the nearby nature trails. Didn't get to take the tour as the tours are only Thursday through Sunday and I was there on Tuesday.
The lodge was closed since i visited on Wednesday . Trails are good.
Interesting place. We took a group and thought we had an appt. but got there and had to wait. The historical part was very interesting and so was the Lodge. Just be prepared to do lots of stairways.
There's not a whole lot to do in Sedalia, so make sure you visit this sensationally preserved historic home. Only $4 for a tour to help Missouri State Parks stay beautiful. Emma was a great tour guide. Fun, informative, worth it.
(Also, pretty sure Mr. Bothwell was actually Bruce Wayne.)
The views are very nice from the lodge. You have to pay for a tour to see the inside of the house. No self guided tours. It is currently about $14 for a family of four. Google says the lodge closes at 3, but the last tour starts at 3 and …
The grounds are scenic. We didn't go inside the lodge, just hiked one of the short trails near the building. If we get back to Sedalia, we will make time to do more exploring.
